San Francisco, CA Donovan McNabb threw a pair of touchdown passes and David Akers kicked three fourth-quarter field goals, as the Philadelphia Eagles rallied for 23 points in the final period to beat the San Francisco 49ers, 40-26.
McNabb, who eclipsed Eagles legend Ron Jaworski for the franchise-record in passing yards and attempts, completed 23-of-36 throws for 280 yards and one interception for Philadelphia (3-3), which had lost its last two games by a combined 10 points. Correll Buckhalter, starting in the place of the injured Brian Westbrook (ribs), rushed for 93 yards and one score on 18 carries. He also was a threat out of the backfield, catching a game-high seven passes for 85 yards.
