Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics activated reliever Keith Foulke from the 15-day disabled list on Friday.

He had been on the DL since April 19, retroactive to April 11, with neck stiffness.

The 35-year-old reliever came out of retirement to return to Oakland, where he was an All-Star in 2003. He signed a free-agent contract with Cleveland on January 4, 2007, but announced his retirement on February 16, 2007.

Foulke has compiled a 41-34 career record with 191 saves and a 3.29 ERA in 595 games with Oakland, Boston, San Francisco and the Chicago White Sox. He was a key member of Boston's 2004 World Series run, posting a 1-0 record, three saves and a 0.64 ERA in 11 postseason outings.
