Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Penguins forward Gary Roberts did not dress for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers due to an illness.
The 41-year-old has been in and out of the lineup this postseason. He missed the final two games of the Pens' four-game sweep over Ottawa in the first round with a sore groin, then sat out three times in Pittsburgh's five-game triumph over the Rangers in the conference semifinals.
For the playoffs, Roberts has two goals and three points in six games, including an assist in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Flyers in Game 2.
Adam Hall took Roberts' slot and played a little more than 11 minutes in the Pens' 4-1 win, giving Pittsburgh a three games to none series edge with Game 4 slated for Thursday.
