Narvaez beats Whitfield to keep flyweight belt

Puerto Madryn, Argentina (Sports Network) - Omar Narvaez kept his WBO flyweight title with a 10th-round technical knockout of Rayonta Whitfield Saturday night.

The 33-year-old Narvaez (29-0-2, 18 KOs) made the 15th successful defense of his title he won in July 2002 with a victory over Adonis Rivas.

Whitfield (22-1) was coming off a fourth-round TKO of Wilfrido Valdez last June.
