New York, NY (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and free agent outfielder Bobby Abreu have reportedly agreed to terms on a one-year contract.
According to SI.com, the deal is worth $5 million plus incentives.
Abreu, who turns 35 in March, spent the last two-plus seasons with the New York Yankees after the team acquired him in a trade with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2006.
Last season, the right fielder appeared in 156 games and batted .296 with 20 home runs and 100 runs batted in, his sixth straight campaign of 100-plus RBI.
Over his 13 seasons in the majors, which includes his first two seasons with Houston and eight-plus seasons with the Phils, he has played in 1,799 games, predominately in right field, and is a career .300 hitter with 241 home runs and 1,084 RBI.
He is the only player in history to reach 200 home runs, 300 stolen bases, a .400 on-base percentage and a .300 batting average.
